Q: If I was driving along doing e.g. 30mph , and accidentally pressed in the start button would the car stop?

A: Nope

A: So if the key card is not present, push and hold to turn it off. Vehicle not moving. If you are traveling along i.e. Moving, 5 pushes will kill the engine, all electrics are still on, courtesy lights come on.

Ah, but 1st you have to find the start button. Don't know about LH drive cars ARO, but in the uk renault have hidden the s/stop button somewhere behind the steering wheel rim and spokes and the lighting stalk. Found it once but lost it right now,
